The ink bottle tool looks like a lop-sided pot filled with over spilling ink and is found on a corner of Flash tool bar. Using this tool, web designers can select multiple objects at a time which is unlike pencil and pen tools. Flash web designers find this tool very useful and better than the paint tool. The paint tool in flash is used to fill in an outline whereas the ink bottle tool outlines the fill of an object.
The strokes at the edge of the fill correspond to the boundary or outline of the object. The stroke panel that comes with Flash CS3 lets flash web designers modify the strokes. The designers are able to customize attributes like color, style, thickness etc of the object using Flash CS3.
Using the ink bottle tool is easy. After applying stroke to an object, click on the ink bottle tool to select it. Select a color for the stroke from color tools, go to stroke panel and choose the desired style and width of the stroke. Then click on the object and see the result. Flash web designers find the ink bottle tool very convenient because it is fill-blind and recognizes only lines and outlines.
